1.     Write the region represented by x . Maximize the objective function Z = 9x + 7y, under the following constraints: x + 2y  7 , x – y  4, x  and y .                         [ Ans: 52 at (5,1) ]

2.       Find the mazimum and minimum value of the objective function F = x + 2y, under the following constraints: x + y  , 2x – y  4 and y .                    [Ans: Max. = 7 at (3,2), Min. = 2 at (2,0) ]

3.     Find the mazimum value of the objective function P = 3x + 2y, under the following constraints:   x + 2y  , x – y  0, x  and y  2.                                                               [Ans: 10 at (2,2) ]

 


Solve graphically:

a)         x2 + 3x + 2 = 0

b)        x2 – 7x + 12 = 0

c)         x2 = 5x – 6
